Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival at Nội Bài Airport, after collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet outside a local Guide of Asia Lotus Tours. From the airport, you will be privately transferred to your lovely hotel. Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Evening enjoy a dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hà Nội.

Note: Guide will be holding a sign with your names on it. Please note that local guides are not allowed inside the airport.

Morning, you'll head out with your guide and begins with a visit Ba Đình Square to see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Hanoi's famous One-Pillar Pagoda constructed in 1049 to resemble a lotus blossom. Continue to the Museum of Ethnology, where we'll learn about the fascinating cultural diversity of this ancient land.

This afternoon, drive through Colonial Hà Nội, seeing the Opera House and other local sights. Go inside infamous Hỏa Lò Prison (“Hanoi Hilton”), where Senator John McCain and Douglas “Pete” Wilson were once imprisoned and continue to the Temple of Literature, which dates back to 1070 is a first university of Việt Nam. Take a cyclo (rickshaw) ride through the Hanoi’s Old Quarter, a network of narrow alleys and shop houses also known as “The 36 Streets.” This is a wonderful place to watch the local life, and peruse items from fabrics to crafts to exotic medicines. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese Water Puppet performance, a uniquely North Vietnamese art form celebrating rural life and folklore for over 1,000 years.

Leave Hà Nội, then drive to Bái Đính Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 Lahan statues, bronze Buddha statue with a height of 10 meters and weighs 100 tons. Lunch at a local restaurant with some local specialties like goat meat, pork storage vessel,... Lastly in day, visit Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex - UNESCO World Heritage Site, stop visit at the picturesque Tam Cốc – an area that is often referred to as “Halong Bay on land” with stunningly statuesque geological formations. Arrive Tam Cốc cave, go ahead to take boat trip for avoiding busy hour. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains. After 1,5 hour on the boat, stop boat trip at Thái Vi temple for cycling (optional) around mountain and village, take beautiful time to enjoy local beauty. Back to Hà Nội in evening. Overnight in  Hà Nội.

Our shuttle bus with tour guide will pick you up depart for Hạ Long city. On arrival at pier, get on board with warmly welcomed by professional and friendly crew.  Check into cabin.

Enjoy specially seafood prepared lunch while cruising through most beautiful parts of the magical Bay with thousands of amazing limestone islands emerging from emerald water, cruising zigzag through hundreds of islands. Kayaking around Pearl farm village, visit Titop Island. Free choice of activities such as sunbathing, swimming and conquering the peak of the biggest island in Halong and taking panoramic photos of Halong bay in the afternoon. Enjoy Sunset Party with fruits and tea. Under the magnificent night sky, your dinner cooked by our professional chef with variety of Vietnamese and Asian foods. Overnight on board.

Option activities: watching movies, listening to Vietnamese traditional music, wearing costumes for King, Queen and mandarin to take photo, board games, squid fishing available for entertainment during the night time.

The day starts early onboard with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi also called Tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape. Transfer by tender to Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes for cave visiting. Visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most biggest cave in Halong bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Return to the boat by tender. Proper shoes are highly recommended. Check out and have a lunch while cruising back to the Tuan Chau Wharf. Relaxing on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery while approaching the wharf. Disembark to Tuan Chau Wharf. Say goodbye to the crew. Back to Hà Nội by private coach. Overnight in Hà Nội.

You will take a morning flight to Đồng Hới city, Quảng Bình Province. Up on your arrival, your tour guide will be waiting for your there and transfer you to the hotel. Check in and free at leisure to explore Nhật Lệ river & beach in central Đồng Hới city. Overnight in Quãng Bình.

The day begins with a short drive to Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng National Park to see the world’s longest limestone cave and now a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site. Reach the cave by boat along the Son River and once inside explore the caves fine sand beaches, spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. After touring this amazing limestone cave you will return to the dock for lunch in a local restaurant.  After lunch, continue to explore Tam Cô Temple and Paradise Cave (Vietnamese name Thiên Đường cave) , discovered by scientists of the British Caving Research Association in 2005. It has a length of 31km, and is the longest dry cave in Asia. After spend 3 hours discover the caves, we drive back Đồng Hới city for overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Huế Old Imperial, on the way passing Quãng Trị province where you can see some war remnants and the original ramparts and gates of former Quảng Trị Citadel. Stop en route to visit the 500-year-old village of Phước Tịch, recognized a national cultural heritage and once famous and prosperous because of its pottery, which has dozens of homes that are from 100 to 200 years old and several old temples, pagodas, worship halls and communal houses. Transfer northward to Bến Hải River, formerly known as a temporary demamtion line between the North and the South of Vietnam. Then proceed to Vĩnh Mốc with the amazinng 2.8 km of underground tunnels, dug to accommodate an underground village safe from Amencan air raids in the north of the DMZ. Arrival Huế, check in hotel and rest of your day. Overnight in Huế.

After breakfast, take a short walk along the Perfume river (Hương). Visit the Imperial Citadel - UNESCO World Heritage site, Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Ums, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace and the Forbidden Citadel built by the Nguyễn emperors in the early 19th century. Enjoin Vietnamese court music (Royal Music) - Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity if luckily.

Continue on cruise this afternoon, you will visit the Minh Mạng Royal tomb, Hòn Chén sanctuary and Thiên Mụ Pagoda - an iconic seven-story pagoda considered the unofficial symbol of the city. Lastly, cruise downstream to watch sunset on the Perfume River. If time permit, take a walk through Đông Ba Market, where you can find anything from fabric and gold to fake watches, fresh flowers and street food. Overnight in Huế.

Breakfast at hotel, then drive to Đà Nẵng via the spectacular Hải Vân Pass, visit the Chăm Museum, probably best museum in the world focusing on the ancient kingdom of Champa, the Marble Mountains of the five sacred elements (metal, wood, water, fire, soil) with numerous caves and Buddhist shrines and the stone-carving village of Non Nước. Lunch at local restaurant on the way to the charming old town of Hội An, an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port during the 15th to 19th centuries. Many of the buildings in the town reflect historical architectural styles and the whole town is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site. Check-in to the hotel, then enjoy a walking tour in the old town. Explore the three characters culture of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese, visit "Phùng Hưng" house - 200 years old and the Japanese Covered Bridge -  "bridge for passers-by from afar". End the day with a visit the workshop of a traditional lantern maker, meet the artisans and try your skills as you create your own lantern to take home. Overnight in Hội An.

After breakfast, take a half day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary - UNESCO World Heritage Site. In a lush green valley stand dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. On the way back to Hội An visit Trà Kiệu, formerly known as Simhapura or the Lion Citadel, the capital of Champa between the 4th and 8th centuries. Back to your hotel, relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in Hội An.

Today is free at leisure. You can also hire a bicycle to see the countryside of Hội An, soak up the sun at the beautiful Cửa Đại Beach or Bà Nà Hill theme park. Some optional excursion for you: Please contact us if you interest:

Travel Visa

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

 

Step 3:Send the visa approval letter via email to you after 2 working days
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).

 

Step 4: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($45 for single entry visa; $65 for 1 month multiple entry visa and $95 for 3 multiple entry visa). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.

 

What are the differences between this process and getting visa at Vietnam embassies?
It is only applicable for those who travel to Vietnam by air. You only need fill out the visa application form online instead of visiting the Vietnam embassies or sending documents to Embassies over by post.The online visa application does not require sending your passport away.You get a visa approval letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department indicating that you are allowed to enter Vietnam and have your visa stamped upon arrival at one of Vietnam international airports.
