Overview H’mong people are an important member in the community of ethnic minorities in Vietnam with about one million people, ranked 8th among 54 Vietnamese ethnics. They often occupy the upland areas, from 800-1500m above the sea level, mostly in the Northwest and a few in the central highland of Vietnam. You can easily spot them in Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Sa Pa, Lai Chau, Son La and several other provinces.

Flight to Nội Bài international airport (Hà Nội Capital), have lunch. Then visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology which focus on the 54 officially recognised ethnic groups in Vietnam, take cyclo tour through the Hanoi’s Old Quarter, a network of narrow alleys and shop houses also known as “The 36 Streets.”,..... free everning for you explore Hà Nội capital by your own program until transferred to the railway station to board your overnight soft sleeper train to Lào Cai. Arrival in Lào Cai, local guides will pick you up at the train station and transfer together to hotel for check in, enjoy breakfast until time to discover conquer Mount Fansipan by cable car at height of more than 3.100m , admire the colorful landscape of the Mường Hoa Valley, Hoàng Liên National Park,…. Take some pictures are unforgettable experience from the Fansipan – Top of indochina.

After lunch at a local restaurant. We will transfer to the small village Sin Chai, inhabited by the Black H'mong. Walk around and experience the daily lives of the people who still maintain their ancestors' lifestyles. Follow a dirt track through rice fields and corn fields along a narrow river, enjoying the spectacular surroundings. Visit local homes of some H'mong black families living here. Return to Sapa for check in hotel. You free exploring the charm of Sapa at night, enjoy grilled corn, roasted egg,...Overnight in Sapa. 

Especially on Saturday night you can attend Sapa Love Market - a traditional culture of ethnic Mông, Dzao in the Lào Cai.

After breakfast at hotel, explore the Hàm Rồng Mountain, a remarkable tourist attraction, with magnificent scenery, visiting Indochinese garden with all kinds colorful flowers, pass through the Sky Gate set foot to the highest point of Hàm Rồng - where the interference of heaven and earth, panoramic view of Sapa town from above.

Countine for the journey to explore the Cát Cát village of the H’mong, photo with yellow Calona field, discover Cát Cát hydropower station, Cát Cát waterfall, learn the culture and customs of the people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, silver, forging tools, ... enjoy the music performances by the artists in the village.

Next, the Silver Waterfall -  formed by sources of water from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. With a height of 100 meter, it is a big one and the loop track is steep and scenic. From there you can see stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the last forests belonging to Hoàng Liên Sơn National Park. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views of Binh Lu valley. Aside from magnificent views, you can feel a bizarre thing in how dramatically the climate changes.

Lastli in day, visit Sapa Church, the ancient church is known as stone church or the Holy Rosary church which is located in the heart of Sapa town built by the French from the early 20th century. The shape and architecture of the church was built by cross. This architecture presented in the roof, bell tower… which created the elegant church.

Breakfast at hotel, then we visit one of the most colorful markets in Lao Cai: Sunday Bắc Hà market, Tuesday Cốc Lý market, Wednesday Cao Sơn market, Thursday Lùng Khấu Nhin market, Saturday Cán Cấu market. To reach any of them, we will drive from Sapa about 3hours to the marketplace, where hundreds of people from tribes H’mông, Tày, Dzay, Dzao, Kinh gather for meeting, hanging around, shopping and exchanging their goods, especially fabrics and handicrafts weekly.

After your interesting time at the market, we can visit a H’mong village nearby. Then the H’Mong King’s house was built at the beginning of the 20th century (between 1914 and 1921). Its owner was Hoàng Yến Tchao of Tày origin. He was the father of Hoàng A Tưởng, a tribal mandarin under the domination of the French colonialists. The castle is a unique construction work, which harmonizes the Oriental and Western architectural styles. Its network of walls, bunkers, and battlements were reinforced by a mortar mixed with sugar molasses.  

Explore by your own program until time transfer to railway station to board your overnight soft sleeper train back to Hà Nội (departure 8:30 pm - 04 pax per cabin). Overnight on board the train.

Breakfast with Phở (noodle beef) - the most famous food in Việt Nam, you'll head out with your guide and begins with a visit Ba Đình Square to see Hồ Chí Minh’s Mausoleum, Hanoi's famous One-Pillar Pagoda constructed in 1049 to resemble a lotus blossom. This afternoon, drive through Colonial Hà Nội, seeing the Opera House and other local sights. Go inside infamous Hỏa Lò Prison (“Hanoi Hilton”), where Senator John McCain and Douglas “Pete” Wilson were once imprisoned and continue to the Temple of Literature, which dates back to 1070 is a first university of Việt Nam. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet performance, a uniquely North Vietnamese art form celebrating rural life and folklore for over 1,000 years. Farewell dinner at local restaurant and transfer to Nội Bài international airport for back home.

Travel Visa

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

 

Step 3:Send the visa approval letter via email to you after 2 working days
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).

 

Step 4: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($45 for single entry visa; $65 for 1 month multiple entry visa and $95 for 3 multiple entry visa). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.

 

What are the differences between this process and getting visa at Vietnam embassies?
It is only applicable for those who travel to Vietnam by air. You only need fill out the visa application form online instead of visiting the Vietnam embassies or sending documents to Embassies over by post.The online visa application does not require sending your passport away.You get a visa approval letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department indicating that you are allowed to enter Vietnam and have your visa stamped upon arrival at one of Vietnam international airports.
